The Executive

Be quiet! Why? The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite, held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. That is why I am your king. Why do you think that she is a witch?

Who are they?

These are the people “in charge.” A combination of weathervane and funnel of their residents hopes and dreams, and direction setter, the Executive is the strategic leader who organizes government into action. Depending on the municipal organization, they might be a Strong or Weak elected Mayor, the Council President, or a hired professional City/County Manager. Generally they operate on time periods not of their choosing with elections and contracts dictating their calendar.
